1. Orders
Any order accepted by Intelligent Furniture is subject to our conditions of sale and no other conditions shall apply unless expressly agreed in writing by us. Any contract shall consist of the buyer’s order and the seller’s acceptance thereof. The contract shall not be accepted until we receive payment in full on standard models at time of placing the order, or a 50% deposit on custom build orders, which is taken on placing of the order. The remaining 50% balance is to be paid on delivery of goods. We are entitled to refuse any order placed.
All products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. We have a policy of continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specifications of any goods or products without prior notice in relation to future sales. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be offered an alternative product or a refund in full.
All dimensions specified by us are approximate and we will not accept any liability for any extra costs incurred by you as a result of incorrect or incomplete measurements or information supplied by you.
2. Prices
All prices are in £ sterling. We reserve the right to change any advertised price before you place an order. Quoted prices include free delivery anywhere within the UK mainland, excluding the Highlands and Islands. An extra charge will be levied for deliveries outside this area. All prices are subject to VAT.
3. Delivery
All Intelligent Furniture products are delivered pre-assembled. You are responsible for providing a safe means of access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If our delivery staff consider that access is unsafe then we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided. Intelligent Furniture must be made aware, in writing, of any potential difficulties in access prior to dispatch. Intelligent Furniture will not be responsible for any failed deliveries if we have not been made aware in writing of any access issues. If we are unable to deliver the goods due to there being no safe means of access to the place of delivery we shall be entitled to cancel your order and refund your payments less an administration fee of 20% of the order value.
If you are unavailable to take delivery of your goods on the confirmed delivery date we shall be entitled to charge you for redelivery. Please note that a signed consignment note constitutes delivery of goods.
If we accidentally damage goods in the course of delivery our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the goods or the value thereof.
Intelligent Furniture aim to deliver our standard range of desks in 7 – 14 working days. Custom build orders’ delivery times vary and an estimate will be given to the customer for approval before the order is accepted. Delivery times are quoted in good faith but are non-binding. Intelligent Furniture will not be liable for any losses, damages or charges incurred by you or any other person as a result of any delay in the delivery of the goods or any part of the order for any reason whatsoever.
4. Payment Terms
Preferred method of payment is by credit/debit card, cheque, bank transfer or cash. On our standard range of products, payment is required in full on placing of your order. On custom-build orders, a 50% deposit is required on the placing of your order, with balance due on delivery.
5. Ownership
Property of the goods remains with Intelligent Furniture until full payment has been received by us.
6. Guarantee
Intelligent Furniture guarantee our furniture against faulty workmanship and/or faulty materials for 12 months from the actual date of delivery. The Freemote technology is guaranteed by Powerdesk Technologies for 12 months from the actual date of delivery. The PC is warranteed by its manufacturer – you will be informed of your level of cover when you place an order with us.
All the above stated guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear; neglect; abuse or misuse of your goods; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, water, lightning, sunlight, weather, rusting, corrosion, theft or explosion; accidental damage or loss or damage caused by a third party.
The provisions of our guarantee apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed products. These rights are not affected by the guarantee.
We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered products over and above the value of the goods themselves. This does not affect your statutory rights.
7. Technical descriptions
Such descriptions whilst given as a guide, in good faith, are subject to alteration by Intelligent Furniture without notice. In particular all weights and dimensions are approximate and for guidance only.
8. Consequential loss
Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by Intelligent Furniture’s negligence, we shall not be liable to you for any consequential loss or damage (whether for loss or profit or otherwise) costs or expenses or your claims for consequential loss whatsoever which arise out of or in connection with the supply of the goods or their use or re-sale.
9. Aftersales
Intelligent Furniture strive to offer the highest level of aftersales care to our customers. We are able to help with any queries or problems you may have regarding the furniture or the Freemote technology, subject to our guarantee statement above (point 6). We will not be available to assist with any software queries or if anything goes wrong with the PC. If you have software issues, contact the software provider. If there is a problem with the PC or a specific piece of hardware including the monitor or peripherals (but excluding Freemote) please contact the relevant manufacturer.
